		<description><![CDATA[While garden compost itself may not act as the fertilizer, what it does do is that it helps to eliminate excessive runoff, which makes the fertilization of the plants much easier.
Also, it has been shown that when organic gardeners or anyone else makes use of a garden compost, there is a reduction in toxic runoffs which means that there is less chance of erosion when used near streams, lakes, rivers and roadways.
